About the Single
"BOYISH THINGS" is one of eleven tracks on Tiger Tears, the debut album Sonya Prema built around the pull between gentleness and strength, forgiveness and perseverance. Sonya Prema began writing for Tiger Tears back in 2019, in Canada, in a situation that made it hard to create. The album found its real shape once she moved to New York — a city she says "gave me permission to explore parts of myself that I previously had shut down." She describes her sound in her own four words: catchy, fun, deep, ever-evolving. She calls the record a love letter — to herself, and to whoever's listening.
